In this class, attendees will learn when and how to use the the most common research methods. Through a combination of lecture and hands-on activities, attendees will learn how to plan and execute a research project to understand their customer’s needs and behaviors.

We’ll work with you to create a custom-fit workshop to meet your goals and budget – virtual or in-person. We can tailor our workshops from 2-5 days and can travel to cities worldwide.

Our team

Matt Wallens

The owner of 80 Watts, Matt is a design research consultant helping companies understand their customers and employees so they can make better products, software, and services. In 2009, he founded 80 Watts, a design experience consultancy focused on research, training, and experience design. Recent projects include conducting research to improve the B2B service experience for a national telecommunications provider, the employee experience for a global call center, and the patient experience of a genome testing service.

When he’s not working, he enjoys hiking, whiskey tasting, and exploring Atlanta’s delicious taco scene. Matt is also a co-founder and co-organizer of the User Research Atlanta professional organization.
