Sprint Advisory

Your research is already in motion. Let's make sure it doesn't go sideways.

Not every engagement needs to start from scratch. Sometimes you've got research underway and you need a senior perspective to sharpen it, pressure-test it, and make sure it's going to hold up when it gets in front of stakeholders. That's what Sprint Advisory is for.

Who this is for

This is a good fit if your team is actively running a research program and you're not fully confident in the direction. If you've got studies in flight, findings to synthesize, or a research plan that needs a second set of eyes before you commit to it, this is the right engagement. It's also a strong fit for smaller teams or solo researchers who don't have a senior peer to gut-check their work, and for product managers or designers who are running their own research and want to make sure they're not missing something important.

How it works

Sprint Advisory is a focused 30-day engagement built around your active work. I review your key artifacts, join your working sessions when it's useful, and stay available throughout the month for questions, feedback, and gut-checks. No rigid structure. The engagement follows your work, not a predetermined agenda. If something's going well I'll tell you. If something's headed in the wrong direction I'll tell you that too, early enough to actually do something about it.

What you get

Sharper study designs, fewer blind spots, and a clearer sense of what your research is actually telling you. You'll finish the month more confident in your findings and better prepared to present them to the people who need to act on them.

A Real Example

A fintech client came to me mid-project with early design concepts for a new credit card rewards program. They'd planned traditional focus groups. After getting clear on their actual goals, I recommended restructuring the study: individual evaluations first, then facilitated group discussion. The original approach would have let the room influence itself before every participant's real reaction was captured.

The redesigned study produced cleaner data, more honest feedback, and a clear story to take upstairs. Executives used the findings to greenlight the product's strategic direction with confidence.

That's the kind of course correction Sprint Advisory exists for. Catching the thing that would've muddied your results before it does.

Got research in motion and want to make sure it lands? Let's talk.

  • No. A lot of Sprint Advisory clients are product managers, designers, or small team leads who are running their own research without a dedicated researcher on staff. If you're making research decisions and want a senior perspective in your corner, this works regardless of your title.

  • We can talk about it. The 30-day format works well for most active sprints, but if your timeline is different we can figure out a structure that fits. The goal is useful guidance when you need it, not a rigid contract.

  • Discussion guides, research plans, screeners, synthesis documents, presentation decks, journey maps. If it's part of your research process and you want a second set of eyes on it, bring it.

  • Sprint Advisory is scoped around your active work and timeline. The investment is straightforward relative to what it costs to present research to stakeholders that doesn't hold up. Reach out and we'll figure out a structure that fits.
